"Friends of the Wigwam" A Civil War Story, Presentation with Author John W. Huelskamp
June 30, 2016-6:30 pm at the Bureau County Historical Society 109 Park Ave W Princeton.

John William Huelskamp of Barrington, Illinois has written Friends of the Wigwam, a critically acclaimed novel about Civil War soldiers and citizens from northern Illinois. Familiar historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, General Ulysses S. Grant, and Elmer Ellsworth appear prominently in the story along with a group of young friends that includes real Bureau County residents from the period.

Huelskamp conducted research at the Historical Society while writing the book and is excited to present his finished novel and share his knowledge at this event. This reception is free and open to the public, copies of "Friends of the Wigwam" will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Historical Society.
