About Us

The Bureau County Homestead Festival (Est. 1971) is an annual celebration that takes place the weekend following Labor Day weekend in September. It commemorates the rich agricultural heritage of the area and pays homage to the hardworking farmers and families who settled in Bureau County. The festival features a variety of events and activities for all ages, including a parade showcasing local organizations, businesses, and marching bands, live music performances, arts and crafts, vendors, class reunions, BBQ contest, and an impressive car show. It's a vibrant community gathering that brings residents and visitors together to celebrate the traditions and values of life in Bureau County.
