For Christmas, Della decides to cut and sell her hair to buy a chain for her husband's prized pocket watch. Meanwhile, her husband Jim sells his watch to pay for a beautiful set of combs for his wife's long hair. Although disappointed to find their gifts rendered useless, each is pleased to discover the depth of the love they have for eachother.
