Off the Beaten Path in Illinois

The Bureau County Genealogical Society will host its monthly meeting on Thursday, February 23rd, at 7:00 P.M. The speaker will be John Purvis, a historian and blogger from Princeton. Being in his 50s and retired on a medical disability, he has lots of free time. He bought a good camera and now combines his love of history and photography to travel the state and capture images and stories before they disappear. His program "Off the Beaten Path in Illinois" will cover numerous memorials, statues and abandoned buildings and their interesting tales. Join us for his road trip without the drive.
