This is a celebration of Abraham Lincoln's visit to Princeton on July 4, 1856 when he gave a speech at a large political rally. The program will include patriotic music, a brief overview of the day's events in 1856, and excerpts from Lincoln's and Lovejoy's speeches. At the conclusion of the program, the Paddock home where Lincoln ate dinner after the rally will be open to the public until 12:00 noon.
