World famous tenor, Tito Morelli, is performing Othello at the Cleveland Opera, and Max, a mild mannered assistant, is assigned to tend to his every need. But when Max accidentally gives Tito a double dose of tranquilizers and believes him to be dead, Max is forced by his boss to don Tito's costume and makeup and take the stage in Tito's place.
