FORMERLY the Nancy Jo Olds Bohm 5K RACE FEATURES: 5K certified course (IL09070JW) with splits at miles 1 and 2 Electronically timed, finish time available at conclusion of race Flat, fast course with a few gentle hills and looped through city streets, water stops at miles 1 & 2 Roads closed for a limited amount of time CHECK IN, ENTRY & START TIMES: Pre-registration & Packet Pickup 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the park 7:00-7:45 a.m. Registration 8:00 a.m. 5K Begins Kids’ Fun Run to follow at approximately 9:00 a.m. Run/Walk starts and ends at Wyanet Memorial Park Trophies to overall male and female 5K participants Trophies to top Wyanet male and female 5K participants Awards to the top 5K participants finishing in each of the following age groups: 13 & Under • 14-19 • 20-24 • 25-29 30-34 • 35-39 • 40-44 • 45-49 • 50-54 • 55-59 • 60-64 65-69 • 70 & Over After achieving their goals, and donating over $34,000, the Nancy Jo Olds-Bohm Race Committee decided to end their race. A committee from Wyanet, determined to continue the good deeds that the Olds-Bohm race achieved, decided to take over the race, with proceeds benefiting the students of Bureau Valley High School through Bureau Valley Renaissance and the Wyanet Community Club. Bureau Valley Renaissance is an organization that promotes, Character, Connections and Celebrations to improve student morale, increase GPA’s and overall student involvement in their communities.
