DESCRIPTION:FESTIVAL 56\, Illinois' largest summer theater festival\, opens its fourth season on Sunday\, July 8th in Princeton. For five weeks\, Princeton will play host to some of the finest works of American theater.\n\n\n\nThis festival season is bigger and better than ever. More than 40 professional theater's best and brightest artists will present two Broadway musicals\, contemporary drama\, comedy\, a world premier musical\, plus Shakespeare which is performed outdoors in the park\, admission free. From dazzling spectacle to thought-provoking drama to rezor-sharp\, comic wit\, FESTTIVAL 56 once again represents the rich and intense variety of audience experiences unique to live\, professional theater.\n\n\n\nEntertaining festival events also include previously sol-out favorites like Cabaret Nights\, plus Beginning Stages\, where we find and present fresh\, new voices in American theater. Festival favorites like Basic Bill: Shakespeare Made Easy workshop and the specially priced Thursday Family Nights\, plus exclusive Backstage Tours promise exceptional entertainment value.
